Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is the African continent’s highest peak at 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). The majestic mountain is a snow-capped volcano, one of the word’s seven summits and  world’s tallest free standing mountain.

Kilimanjaro Climbing Routes

There are seven established routes to climb Mount Kilimanjaro - Marangu, Machame, Lemosho, Shira, Rongai, Northern Circuit and Umbwe. The Marangu, Machame, and Umbwe routes all approach from the south of the mountain (Mweka is used only for descent).
Kilema route is the only route where you can reach to the top by mountain bike. Our experienced guides have done a good number of successful bike treks to summit Mt Kilimanjaro standing at 5,895 metres. The trip takes 5 days to complete, to allow for proper acclimatization.

With a high success rate, incredible varied scenery and a very low number of visitors, the route is the best routes on Kilimanjaro.

Lemosho is considered the most beautiful route on Kilimanjaro and grants panoramic vistas on various sides of the mountain.

Known as the "Whiskey" route, and the most popular route. the days on Machame are longer and the walks are steeper.

Rongai is the preferred route for those looking low crowded route, more remote hike, and climbing during the rainy season.

Known as the "Coca-Cola" route, the Marangu route is a classic trek on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the oldest, most well established route.

Kilema route is the only route where you can summit Mount Kilimanjaro by mountain bike. It is challenging experience active travelers
